Career Pivot Design

Starting: October 23, 2019 | 12:30 pm Eastern

Making a career pivot is an action that impacts your livelihood and therefore isn’t something to be undertaken willy-nilly. But this diligence can lead to procrastination, analysis paralyis, and never following through on your intentions and goals.

In this 3-part Masterclass, you will learn and use a design-thinking process to organize your ideas, design your pivot, and make key decisions so you can move forward with your career goals.

This Masterclass is designed like a workshop. Less passive listening or watching slides. More putting pen to paper and working the process during the sessions and through-out the Masterclass.

How it Works:

  • 3 Live Workshops on October 23rd, 30th, and November 6th. All sessions to be held at 12:30 pm EST / 9:30 am PDT*
  • Access to a private room inside AndThriving so you can continue to work with Lou Blaser and interact with the group in between the scheduled workshops
  • Membership to the AndThriving network

* Attending live always gives you the best experience. However, the sessions will be recorded. So, if you have to miss it, you can catch up through the replay.

Define the Why

The ‘why’ behind your pivot isn’t because you hate your job — even if that were true. The foundation step in your Pivot Design is about defining the bigger picture behind your desire to make a pivot. This allows you to place your actions in a larger context so you can choose the right direction and strategy that’s best for you.

Declare the What

What is it that you want to do? The second part of the Masterclass is focused on helping you answer this question with clarity and conviction. Conviction isn’t the result of 100% certainty, but of solid best guesses and well-founded assumptions. You’ll use a design-thinking process to arrive at a comfortable path forward.

Commit to the How

The key to making something happen – no matter how daunting it may be – is to break it down into manageable units that you can control. The last piece of your Pivot Design is about helping you develop your long-term target with a short-term plan. You will finish the Masterclass with a 90-day target and 30-day action plan.
